Portfolio of documentary views of Isleton, Calif., illustrating the impact of the Great Recession financial crisis on the Sacramento River Delta Region as contrasted with pre-recession views of the area. Portfolio is divided into seven sections: "River" (scenes of residential life along the Sacramento River), "Levee" (scenes taken along the aging levees that protect Isleton from rising Delta waters, with an emphasis on the homes and other structures vulnerable to flooding), "Old Town" (older structures of Isleton, many in desrepair), "Home" (residences, including houses, apartment buildings, recreational vehicles and trailers), "Dream" (home construction and other evidence of new development, including billboard signs for Village on the Delta housing community), "Boom" (views of expensive vehicles among Isleton's commercial district and residences; renovation of older buildings; local chamber of commerce; new river docks) and "Bust" (closed businesses, empty billboards, "for sale" and "for rent" signs, unfinished new homes and abandoned construction sites). Portfolio also includes various printed inserts, including the photographer's interpretation of the history of real estate development in Isleton, and an appendix containing the 2006 article "Isleton: Delta Blues", by Glen Martin, reprinted from the San Francisco Chronicle.
